表观密度小，一般在1400-1900kg/m³之间，属于轻混凝土的范畴。水泥用量比普通混凝土少，工程造价低。

浇筑后混凝土的表面和内部存在大量连通的蜂窝状孔洞，便于培植植被，绿化混凝土表面。

骨料除可采用碎石、卵石、陶粒外，还可以直接利用炉渣等工业废料，或强度较高的建筑垃圾，便于环境保护。

旧的生态混凝土构件破碎后，又是很好的混凝土粗骨料。这样，对节省地方天然河砂材料，对建筑垃圾的减量是有利的。

浇筑时产生的混凝土侧压力小，可选用各种轻型模板。由于混凝土不用沙子，简化了材料运输、搅拌设备及现场管理的工作量，同时还降低了混凝土成本。

When the concrete is poured, the side pressure of the concrete is small, and all kinds of light formwork can be selected. Because no sand is used in concrete, the workload of material transportation, mixing equipment and site management is simplified, and the cost of concrete is reduced.

 施工简单，靠自重落料即可密实成型，不需要机械振捣或人工插捣，对工人的技术要求不高，具有一般技术的工人即可胜任。

The construction is simple, and can be compacted by self-weight blanking, without mechanical vibration or manual tamping, the technical requirements of workers are not high, and workers with general skills can be competent.
